If this is karma, it ain't funny...
This photo greeted me when I was looking for a news article this evening. The Situation actually got a book deal. Are you kiddin' me? Are you kiddin' me? Who knew he could even read? What does this say about our culture? I have no idea. What did he write about? His days as an exotic dancer? I think I just threw up in my mouth.
The behavior exhibited on the show that made him a star is so deplorable I can't bring myself to watch it. I did try...really I did. I thought it would be discriminatory to dislike something I never tried. But then again, though I've never run down the road stark naked pulling my hair out while eating ice cream, I am quite sure this is something I would highly dislike.
So I tried to watch an episode of Jersey Shore. It was painful. PAINFUL! I couldn't sit through it and began to think the running down the street scenario might actually be more doable than this hot mess.
The hard part of all this nonsense is I know several people who are really talented writers and no one is offering them a book deal. So I guess it is back to the drawing board...I am going to have to see what I can learn from young Situation who seems to be livin' the dream. Judging by this picture, even he seems surprised by it all.
My friend and neighbor Gary Indiana has written many books in the past and he recently summed it up for me "You are nobody unless you are on TV".

It IS painful. I watched one episode to see what all the fuss was about and it was disgusting.
