All Hallow's Eve
the dead come back for us,
wind violently heralding their
graveyard resurrection.
Brilliant white moon
hides in ghosts of clouds
creeping the sky, illuminating
the return of barren souls.
Skeletal hands
grasp for Heaven, screaming prayers
of salvation as we bargain eternity
for moments of safe-keeping.
Blood turns cold
as the wolf howls in the distance,
hollow faces burn judgment
of our sins.
Be not afraid.
Upon surrender all
Be not afraid.
Upon surrender all
pain disappears
evermore.
evermore.
All Hallow's Eve
darkness reveals truth of
secrets and fears protected by
light of day.
