The State Of Hibernation...

I feel like I have awoken from a long drug-induced coma brought on by an excessive amount of Quantitative Business Mathematics. Yuck...

Wikipedia says hibernation is the state of inactivity and metabolic depression in animals characterized by lower body temperature, lower heart rate, and lower metabolic rate. Hmmm....I thought I just glazed over from disinterest. Suffice it to say, nothing has ever made me feel dumb like QBUS math has, but I am over it. No, the class isn't over. I have simply kicked into survival mode to get through it over the next three weeks. Because let's face it...I am DONE allowing it suck my creative juices dry. That being said...

A LOT has happened since I caught the cooties and died made it through serious sickness. We have enjoyed Thanksgiving, multiple birthdays, anniversaries, my son traveled away from me...on a plane...staying in a hotel...without me...for the first time ever. I was thrilled for him and made it through this milestone. Because let's face it...I don't get depressed. I really don't even get mad. Sarcastic I have down to a science, but depressed or mad? Nope.

I watched many a movie over the weekend and thought a lot about my blogging buddies who I need to catch up with. I miss you guys!! Suffice it to say Wednesday evening will find me online with a nice glass of wine, comfortable pajamas, and my trusty sidekick, VII (aka Sony VAIO) catching up with my peeps. Oh, and to you, my dear, dear one who recently caused me to absolutely lose my mind, well, I've thought a lot about you, too. So there...

Today is the first Sunday of Advent. I am eager to begin a study on Mother Theresa for the season as I am sure she would never condone this extended state of inactivity hibernation. So pour the wine and get ready to sing. I am wide awake and ready to kick it, 'cuz Heaven knows...I don't do glazed-over-inactive-with-nothing-to-say very well, either.

  1. I love that song! And I have missed your posts and cooments on other boards. Hope you are back to stay. Don't let something as mundane as MATH keep you from writing...ever! ~~Bliss
